We have Add-on Bluetooth kits if you don't want to change your stereo & we have radio/stereo replacement options
We have all sorts of Bluetooth options to fit almost any vehicle possible. We have products ranging from portable devices to completely installed and integrated car kits. Whatever your needs, Auburn Car Tunes can provide a solution. Most people ask if they can add Bluetooth to their car. It is always possible in one way or another! Crux & PAC & iSimple offer an excellent product that lets you keep your existing radio and add Bluetooth. All you will see on the dash is a small button that lets you control your calls in and out, without even touching your phone!! Depending on your phone and service, you will be able to make and receive calls, and use voice activated dialing with ease. You can use Siri or Google Assistant through your car speakers to make a call! Now that’s what I call hands free!!!
Another type of bluetooth device that can be added to your car is a more "factory style" bluetooth kit. That means, there is no display, no extra buttons, it's all automated and works just like factory bluetooth kits do. The vehicle must have "steering wheel controls" or controls on the steering wheel for radio functions for this kit to work. If you don't have volume, tunning, mode, or anything on the steering wheel that controls the radio, then this kit will not work for your vehicle. If you do, it uses those buttons to answer calls, hang up, and voice dial. The kit also does "bluetooth streaming audio" so you can wirelessly stream your music from your smart phone without having to plug it in. There are stipulations and limitations with this kit, so please call for details. Overall the kit works very well and sounds great.
Another popular bluetooth add on kit is a completely universal one! It can go into any car(pretty much) with an antenna lead. This one has an FM Modulator that plugs into your car antenna (see "universal input" under ipod your car) and has bluetooth as well. It comes with a separate bluetooth mic(to talk into) and a green button to answer calls with. Overall the kit works great for that person that wants bluetooth in their car but doesn't want to change anything. Contact us for additional questions on this if necessary. Some parts and labor may be additional.
When purchasing Bluetooth for your car, there are a lot choices. We try very hard to make the choices easy, and straight foward. All our sales staff are very personable and easy to talk to, so feel free to call or come by and see what works for you. We want you to make the right choice... for you.
Another way to ad Bluetooth to your vehicle would be changing out the radio or "head unit". When changing out the head unit, you get more features like "bluetooth streaming audio". Bluetooth audio lets you stream the music from your device (generally a smart phone... any brand) wirelessly without using a cord. Let us be very clear here: Bluetooth audio does not sound very good. In fact, it sounds worse then most auxiliary cords. It is a convenience. A quite nice one at that though! Every manufacturer recommends plugging in your iPhone with a USB Cable. That way it charges and plays audio through that cable. It sounds the best, and you get the best experience overall. The Parrot kit (to the left) and most of the head units (this one in the picture especially) have voice activation for "voice activated dialing". You can simply be driving down the road and push and hold the "phone button" on the front of the head unit just to the left of the knob and it will prompt your phone for a voice dial option. You then say: "call home" or "call Joe" or whatever you decide to do or call. You can also tell it a number to call. Kenwood has integrated a voice dial feature called "Siri Eyes Free". It activates Siri on your iPhone which works great. That same technology activates Samsung's "S Voice" as well. With Samsung (or any of the Android devices) you have the option to use the manufactures voice dial or use the embedded "Google Now" voice activation. From past experiences, the Google voice activation seems to work much better. When pairing up your phone for you after the installation, we will show you or ask you what you prefer... and make sure it is setup for you.
A head unit will get you more features per dollar then adding a bluetooth car kit, but we know that with some cars it can be very difficult or very expensive to do that. That is why we offer different choices! Feel free to call or ask us for which one would work best for you in your vehicle!
